IRO case management system update: Approved Lawyers

In IRO's continuous efforts to enhance and improve our commitment to achieve quick and fair solutions, improve responsiveness and meet the needs and requests of our stakeholders, IRO is undergoing a Case Management System update on Friday, 19 July 2024, at 5pm.

During this update:

  • Application received after COB on Wednesday, 17 July 2024 will not be processed into the system until the week commencing 22 July 2024.
  • Hypercare period will commence for two weeks, starting on 22 July 2024 – 5 August 2024

Due to the system transition, IRO Grant Managers will transfer applications that have been entered into the system, but not yet approved to the new workflow. Therefore, please understand that applications that are outstanding will take longer to process during this system update.

If you have an urgent application, please send the application to ILARS Contact Inbox and write ‘URGENT’ in the subject line.

To ensure a smooth transition process from Approved Lawyers and their teams, response times from IRO Grant Managers will be extended from Monday, 15 July 2024 to Friday, 2 August 2024.

  • For approving ILARS applications – 5 to 10 business days
  • For responding to emails – 10 to 15 business days

Avenue for Contact:

For new ILARS matters on;

  • New grant applications
  • Non-case related emails and,
  • If you have a necessary urgent application (ensure to include “URGENT” in the subject line)

For existing ILARS Matters,

  • If you receive a response from our Grant Managers, respond to ILARS Mail Inbox ONLY
  • When sending new emails to an existing case, ensure to include the ILARS case number – C/NN/YYYYY or G/NN/YYYYY in the subject line and do not cc the ILARS Grant Manager’s personal email or other ILARS email boxes) 
  • For an Extension of Stage Funding request, submit as a new email (i.e., not replying to previous emails) to the ILARS Mail Inbox with the subject line “Stage ** Extension of Funding”. 
    This will assist with prompt assessment and reallocation of your request.  Failure to address the subject line in this manner, will cause delay in assessment of your request. 
  • For Disbursement only funding requests, do not use the words “Extension” or “Extension of Funding” within the request, in order for correct allocation of your funding request.
